CSA.

I am so excited to tell people about this.  I signed up for a CSA with a local farm.  In case you don't know what a CSA is (I don't blame you if you don't...I just learned recently) it is a Community Supported Agriculture.  A local farm will have a # of shares that people in the community can purchase.  Then you recieve local, fresh produce once a week.  I purchased a 1/2 share so that should be enough for Craig and I for a week.  The farm that I have bought into is Willow Grove Gardens here in Longview.  I look forward to receiving my fruit and veggies every week.  One other benifit is that my veggies are all organic!  Yea!  Hopefully all goes well.

If you are interested check out http://www.localharvest.org/  to find a CSA in your area!

  1. That is really cool! I was just reading in the paper yesterday about local farms, 'Victory Gardens', Community Gardens, and people supporting the local economy by buying local. Very interesting.
